Seeing Ronnie
Romancing the Coast, Book 1

Part beauty, part beast, Ronnie needs to be tamed. Del knows just how to do that.

Publisher:      Blushing Books
Release date: March 29, 2017
Genre: Contemporary, DD, paranormal romance

Blurb:
As a social blogger, Ronnie Flynn—aloof, beautiful, cool as a cucumber—is desperate to get to the society event of the year: Simon and Sadie’s engagement party on Seguro Island. No surprise that her name isn’t on the guest list, but as always, Ronnie has a backup plan. A plan that involves the handsome Del Franklin.

Del agrees to a swap: Ronnie gives him the scoop on his estranged wife’s dirty secrets and he takes her as his date to his boss’s party. The handsome, buff man of Italian descent makes only one condition: Ronnie better be good. No snooping. No manipulating. No digging for dirt. Or else.

With crossed fingers, and in spite of Del’s threat of putting her over his knee for disobeying, Ronnie ‘promises’ to be a good girl. Right. She’s not worried about Del. Her code of Keeping a Healthy Distance will protect her heart, and her backside. She’s too wily to get caught, anyway.

Ronnie sees. Literally. She can channel people’s feelings and see into their hearts. All her life, she has been hiding this secret weapon—her psychic ability—because what she sees is often too hard understand and impossible to share. If she can handle that secret, surely she can handle Del. Or can she? He’s not like anyone else. Nothing has prepared her for him. She shouldn’t react like this to his dominance. She’s an independent, wealthy woman in her own right. No man will tell her what to do. Yet, there is something about this sexy dominant Latin lover that makes her pulse race.

Will Ronnie allow Del to break her Code of Keeping a Healthy Distance? Will seeing Ronnie open Del’s eyes to a new world? Will the two of them ever see life the same way?

Publishers’ note: Seeing Ronnie is intended for adults only. Spanking and other sexual activities represented in this book are fantasies only, intended for adults. Nothing in this book should be interpreted as Blushing Books’ or the author’s advocating any non-consensual spanking activity or spanking of minors.

Excerpt:
When you’re with me you will be polite and well mannered. Agreed?”

“Agreed.” Ronnie nodded soberly to show her good intentions, but under the table she crossed her fingers.

“You better mean that.” Del drained his coffee cup and levelled his eyes at her. “Because if I catch you prying or snooping—doing anything outside the bounds of good manners—there will be consequences.”

“Consequences?” Ronnie licked a drop of tea off her lips.

“Serious consequences.” The corner of his mouth lifted in a crooked smile. “I will turn you over my knee and paddle your bottom until you beg me to stop. And then I will spank you some more. Do I make myself clear?”

“You do,” Ronnie whispered. A damp flutter clenched between her legs and she pressed her knees together as if she could lock out the desire that suddenly sent her blood boiling. No one had ever threatened her like that before. Worse still, it was as though he was the one with the gift of second sight, as if he’d read her secret intention to ignore everything he’d just said. She glanced over her shoulder to see if anyone might have heard his sultry caution. No one was paying them any attention.

The very worst part was that she had no idea how she was going to turn off the part of her personality that wanted to know everything about everybody. She’d been accused of living through the dramas of other people’s lives and there was more truth to that than she cared to admit. Her own life was dishwater dull and she kept it that way so she had energy for her work as gossip queen. More importantly she kept her life orderly so that there was no mud that could be slung her way. She twisted her tea cup to avoid looking at Del.

“One last problem.” Del spoke as calmly as if he hadn’t just suggested the most erotic thing anyone had put to Ronnie in ten years or so. “I haven’t made a booking and I’m sure every hotel and B&B on the island will be full by now.”

“I have a place we can stay.” Ronnie forced coolness into her voice. She didn’t say it’s a fabulous place and it’s for sale. She’d only seen it in pictures but if it was half as good in real life, she planned to buy it. That was her secret and she wasn’t sharing it with anyone. She held her expression impassive.

“You’ve got a place on Seguro?”

“I wish. This place belongs to friends, but we can use it this weekend. I also have ferry reservations to get us there.” Even if she didn’t get an invitation to the Jacobson bash, she’d planned a weekend on the island to test drive the lake house.

Del lifted an eyebrow. “Separate rooms?”

“Absolutely. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The memory of the warmth and strength of his hand in hers made her think that sharing a bed with Del Franklin might be pleasurable. The idea of being turned over his knee made her legs tremble. But none of that was going anywhere. She indulged herself in little fantasies from time to time, but she never acted on them.

Ronnie had sworn off men a long time ago.

Good As Dead

Blurb:

Six people want her dead.

Lainey Hargreaves has a secret that she must keep at all costs. It’s a secret that could change the face of the earth, forever. But not all secrets can be kept, and when hers begins to escape, she is certain that death will follow.

There is only one person that can extricate her from the mess she finds herself in. A vampire.

Mercer is that vampire. His quick, analytical brain will give them a head start against her assassins, but even he isn’t confident of success. He needs to discover what Lainey is hiding, unravel her secrets, and earn her trust. She will need to learn to obey his every order without question if they are to stand a chance of success.

And the best place to start? In the bedroom, of course. All women find him irresistible. All women except Lainey, that is, and she’s going to fight tooth and nail to deny the bright red spark that blooms between them.

She’s going to lose.

“You will do as you’re told.”

He yanked on the curl he had captured and she had no choice but to stare at his mesmerising gold eyes. Swallowing at the invisible lump in her throat, she tried to force her head away from his dangerous gaze but could not break his hold over her. She wanted to roar in exasperation, for this mess could rival the Minos Labyrinth. She felt helpless and frustrated. They were two emotions she had very little experience with and she preferred it that way.

“Or what?” Lainey tried to bite back the retort but it was too late, the damage was done. When the vamp looked down at her, his eyes were rapidly darkening and his face was contorting with anger. She swallowed hard knowing she’d pushed him too far. Instinctively trying to back up, the wall was unforgiving and she smacked her head against it. His head was coming towards hers yet there was not a thing she could do about it. Wanting to scream, all that came out of her mouth was a pathetic little squeak.

He didn’t stop until his forehead rested against hers, his breath blowing heated little flutters against her lip. Her pulse immediately rocketed into orbit and her senses fled. She was only aware of his tempting soft lips, and a great urge to kiss them. For a second, she had a strangled moment of indecision, unsure whether she was willing her body to remain still or urging it to close those last few millimetres separating her mouth from his. Still stranded in torment, he smiled at her as if he knew the inner struggle she was having, and finally made the decision for her.

Pulling back abruptly, he put some distance between them by slamming both of his outstretched arms on either side of her head. It made her jump. Eyes which had licks of red and orange flames resting in their depths connected once again with hers, and although he was a little further away this time, it didn’t make him seem any less intimidating.

“A nice punishing kiss would probably keep you in line for a couple of days, I think. Should I bruise those soft sweet lips of yours and train them to worship mine? I have a feeling though that once I get a taste for you there’ll be no going back. Then again, seeing a lovesick doe-eyed look in those eyes wouldn’t be so bad. What do you say?” He unleashed the full power of his smile upon her and whilst there was no warmth behind it, Lainey got the message.

“No,” she whispered, immediately understanding what he had threatened. “I’ll do whatever you say, no questions asked.” She could not be bitten under any circumstances.

He huffed out a breath, and slowly removed his hands from the wall. Lainey sighed with relief as she had a little breathing space back but something akin to disappointment washed through her veins, and it horrified her. She could not feel this way, especially anywhere near a vampire.

“Well, I guess that spoiled all my fun for the evening,” he said regretfully. “But it should make the next couple of days rather interesting because at the first sign of disobedience, I’m claiming my kiss, Miss Hargreaves. Are we clear?” He raised an eyebrow and gave her a lopsided grin.

Lainey shuddered. “Crystal.”

“Good.”

“Who are you?” There was a hint of fear in her voice.

“My name is Mercer.”

“Mercer who?” Lainey pushed her hands against his chest and he backed up a little bit, allowing her a chance to examine him.

“That’s all you need to know.”

Jordan St John visits with a hot new erotic paranormal!

Jordan St John is visiting today. This one sounds great! 🙂

Excerpt

He broke the silence. “You’re an amateur—and utterly naive. Whatever game you are playing at, you are in way over your head. You need to go home like a good little girl and stay out of this.”

Lucy sputtered. “You can’t talk to me that way. I’ll have you know I’m a reporter for the Times. A good one.”

“You are a dilettante and you are about to be in serious trouble of a type you can’t imagine. Go home.”

Lucy tossed her head and set her jaw. “I’m not done looking around yet.”

The man stared her down. “You will either get out of here and go home, or I’ll put you over my knee and spank your little bottom raw, right here and now.”

What did he just say? Lucy froze at the threat. Spank her? The prospect of a humiliating spanking at the hands of this man flashed through her head as she saw herself rudely upended, bottom up. Then her ire rose. “Don’t you threaten me. I have as much right to be here as you. More, actually. You wouldn’t dare touch me.”

“Have it your way,” said the man as he advanced.

Lucy stumbled backwards and slipped. She fell on her back on the bed. The effigy popped out of her waistband where she had tucked it, and fell at the man’s feet.

“So,” he said, bending to pick it up. “You lied, and on top of that you were going to cart this off.” He shook his head. “I’m going to impart a valuable lesson here, one that might save your life. You will stay away from this place and everything connected to it.”

He reached for her. Lucy tried to scoot away, but he was too quick and too strong. He sat on the bed and flipped her across his knees.

“Noo!” Lucy shrieked, but the man was undeterred. The next thing she felt was her skirt being lifted and her tights being rucked down. Underneath she wore a thong. He left that in place at least.

For the next several minutes the apartment of Kiri Constantine rang out with the sounds of a sturdy male palm meeting bare female flesh. Crack after crack exploded across her rear. Lucy had never felt anything like it. Her bottom burned red hot with the repeated smacks. The spanks assaulted her rear cheeks with a relentless intensity, the sting in her bobbing fanny increasing with each meaty smack until she was sure that she’d burst into tears any moment.

She felt overpowered, helpless, and utterly humiliated. Bare bottomed, held face down over this man’s knee and powerless, she wriggled and fought, but he held her in an iron grip, seemingly effortlessly. As smack after smack assaulted her nearly bare behind, Lucy could do nothing but flutter her legs and wail.

Blurb:

A string of strange disappearances in modern day New Orleans has the police baffled. The only clues are voodoo dolls left behind at the scenes of the abductions. Lucy McCall, an investigative reporter for the Times-Picayune, takes up the case when a close friend goes missing. In the course of her investigation, she forms an unlikely alliance with Jonathan Drake, a reclusive and mysterious stranger and owner of a secret nightclub devoted to the exotic pleasures of the BDSM underground. To Lucy, Drake is a fascinating cipher. He is unlike any man she has ever known, appearing to possess powers that permit him to change shape at will into a creature of inhuman strength, agility, and speed, but is as kind and decent a man as she has ever known. Lucy cannot deny her growing attraction to Drake, and the attraction turns out to be mutual, but both realize they are tempting fate, for Drake’s power comes at an awful price. Drake’s inner demon must be fed by the twin sensations of pleasure and pain experienced by Drake’s mistresses through his application of the lash, strap or birch rod to their bare flesh. Despite Drake’s dark needs, or perhaps because of them, Lucy finds herself succumbing to the lure of the pleasures of Drake’s brand of lovemaking, and she and Drake join forces. The pair soon discover the voodoo connection is real, and they find themselves pitted against a supernatural foe who will stop at nothing, even murder, to achieve its ends. Their journey will take them into a heart of darkness, a place where demons dwell, and it will take every last ounce of courage, resolve and luck to prevail against the forces of evil.

Bad guys I love to hate!

I decided to share my favorite bad guys of the year with you. I know the year is not over yet, and I may come across more.  If I do, I will make another post- a bad guys redux. 🙂

So, here goes. My favorite bad guys. I need to explain something here. These bad guys are not just bad guys, they are the epitome of evil. And when I think about the possibility of actually meeting someone like this, it scares me.

These are also not just antagonists who show a little spark of positive light toward the end, so the reader knows they will be seeing this character again- but possibly as a protagonist. When I do that kind of post, I will include characters like Kresley Cole’s, Lothaire (Immortals After Dark) and Jim Butcher’s, Thomas (The Dresden Files). Those guys start feeding me little morsels of empathy, and Bam! Protagonist, coming my way.

I like these kind of characters too. But that is not what today is about. Today is all about the BAD GUY. The one that I despise. The character that I love to hate. And his / her “badness” makes me feel oh so good.

A quick note about spoilers. I think everyone can tell, from the blurb, who the bad guys are, and what to expect in the story. I’ll do my best not to give anything crucial away. But be forewarned, just in case. Possible spoilers ahead…

These are in no particular order. They are just my favorite bad guys that came to mind over coffee this morning. And that’s how I decided who to include. If they jump into my thoughts while I am washing dishes and drinking coffee, then they are worthy of my “Favorite” list. (I actually did forget the name of a few of the characters. But since I could so vividly see their story and actions, I knew they belonged here.

Remember – no particular order, and possible spoilers…

*****

warrior       from Cara Bristol’s “Warrior“. The last in the Breeder series.

Qalin-

This was one bad dude. He cared about nothing except for world wide domination. The fact that his own son feared him, says a lot about Qalin. This was a cold hearted killer who brought in savage aliens as soldiers, and almost decimated his world. He was Cray-cray, with a capitol “C”. He was also a very good bad guy.

My review on Amazon

romantek 4      from Patricia Green’s Romantek series. He was also an antagonist in Charlotte and the Pirate, Romentek 2, and again in Vacation in Rio, Romantek 4.

Esharveer Jaggi-

Wow, this dude had some serious revenge issues. He would stop at nothing to get revenge on Romantek, the company he used to work for. As is usually the case for brilliant guys who get terminated from employment and seek revenge, Esharveer took his plotting to a whole new level of nastiness. It wasn’t bad enough, he wanted to hurt the company. But to ruthlessly and carefully weave his way into the dream reality to attempt several murders… Yeah, that was pretty bad. And the harder he tried, the more it hurt him. The man was seriously screwed up in the head. He was an awesome bad guy.

My review on Amazon

gabes bride     from Penny Allen (Maren Smith)’s Hollow Hills series, Gabe’s Bride.

Deacon-

This handsome, grandfather type, actually scared me the most. You expect your patriarch to be loving, kind, and to protect you. Especially, if he is the leader of your clan of shifters, and you have no one else. That’s what made this man so diabolical. He ruled with fear. He rewarded those who pleased him, and he severely punished those who didn’t. This included people who couldn’t help themselves– like a young woman and her five year old son. (there is more to them, but I don’t want to give too much away.) Suffice it to say, Deacon, really hurt Neoma in a lot of ways: murder of loved ones, while she watched; threats of taking her son; starvation; ostracization… This man did it all.

And he enjoyed doing it, all while smiling benevolently, paternally.

This guy was a real BAD guy. And he took things to an ultimate level of “wrongness” at the end.

Review coming (expect a 5 star totally awesome, I loved it and couldn’t put it down review coming soon. Seriously, I wouldn’t be recommending it here, if I didn’t 🙂 )

godesses curse   from Cara Bristol’s The Goddess’s Curse.

Honna-

This woman wanted to be queen of the Sharona, no matter the cost. Treachery, deceit, murder, and two faced lies in an attempt to create war between the Sharona and the Lahon… she did a lot. And she also tried to kill her own cousin, Princess Reena. It wouldn’t have been so evil, if she hadn’t projected such an air of love and protection, all while slowly poisoning the throne. This woman was so evil, so disgusting, so vile… I won’t share everything she did, because I don’t want to spoil it. But trust me. This woman was EVIL.

There’s my list of the baddest bad guys for the year. Do you have any favorites? What makes your favorite evil villain, just that much more evil?

I don’t need an excuse to spank- from Renee Rose

Renee Rose is stopping by with a sexy excerpt from His Captive Mortal. It was originally released as Loose Morals, but has been edited and re-released; and boy is it hot! Here she is 🙂

I don’t need an excuse to spank – a sexy snippet from His Captive Mortal by Renee Rose

Hi Katherine, thanks so much for having me on your blog today!  I’m bringing my hot paranormal hero Charlie for a visit. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t mind being an uninvited guest. In His Captive Mortal, he barges into Sasha’s apartment and makes himself at home, changing her life with his sexy dominant ways.  Here’s an example:

He pushed himself up to sit, resting his back against the headboard. “I think you have five seconds to lay yourself across my lap.”

Butterflies took flight in her belly. “What did I do?”

He gave one sharp shake of his head. “I don’t need an excuse to spank. If I decide you need a spanking, you get a spanking. Now lie over my lap.”

She wanted to argue. His logic didn’t make sense, after all, but she wanted to see where this would go. Maybe it was a result of the dream, in which he’d whipped her for no reason and she’d seemed to love it. She knelt beside him and draped herself across his lap, liquid already beginning to seep from her pussy.

He ran a cool hand across her cheeks in a caress that somehow made her feel beautiful. As if in affirmation of her impression, he remarked, “A perfect ass.” And with that declaration, he began to spank hard and fast, like he had that first night when she’d tried to stab him with a wooden stake.

She wriggled. “Ow…ooh.” She wanted to be turned on by it—like she’d been in her dream—except it hurt too much for her to feel anything but pain. “Ow. Hey!”

“Quiet, little mortal.”

She struggled to keep her sound effects to herself, though why she tried so hard to please and obey him confused her. At what point had she given in? But she couldn’t think when he was slapping her at a rhythm faster than “Uptown Funk”. She gripped the bedspread and kicked her legs, clamping down on her back teeth to keep from crying out. Pain overtook all her senses and she had just started to become angry when he stopped, as abruptly as he’d started.

Before she could draw another breath, he had pulled her onto her back beside him and covered her body with his own, kissing her with a passion that made her stomach drop. Everything he’d stirred up with the spanking—embarrassment, anger, lust, tears—came pouring out in her response to his kiss. She met his desire with her own, yanking his head down, arching her pelvis against his, writhing beneath him. She wanted him to take her in every sense of the word, but he broke away, pulling back with a wicked smile. “Lusty wench, aren’t you?”

“Wench?” she demanded, wrapping a fist in his shirt and attempting to pull him back down. “Which century do you think you’re in?”

His Captive Mortal

When a young special education teacher unwittingly attracts the attention of a strange man on her late night walk home, she winds up with a supernatural guest she can’t evict. For some reason, Charlie, the dominant immortal believes she is of fairy descent and has magical powers. He demands her complete submission and cooperation, refusing to free her until she promises to help him.

Charlie sees the power in Sasha and believes she has the ability to undo the curse placed on him by a jealous lover one hundred years before. He also loves toying with the feisty mortal, doling out humiliating punishments while arousing a lust in her that leaves them both hungry for satisfaction.

His habit of emotional detachment crumbles as he falls for Sasha, yet when he discovers she carries a secret that relates to his past, the betrayal nearly destroys him. He must decide whether he can ever trust a woman, or give into instinct and walk away from what might be his only chance at love and redemption.

The first excerpt is a wonderfully dark and disturbing scene from Kathryn R Blake’s ‘Deadly Enchantment’.

DeadlyEnchantment_631x1062Kathryn R Blake

Lynwood Manor – The Dungeon

Although a peer of the realm, Terrence Nathaniel Moreland, Earl of Lynwood, cared not at all for the trappings and social amenities associated with being a member of the nobility. The title offered him certain privileges, which he made use of as they suited him, but for the most part, he preferred to seclude himself in his laboratory where he could work his spells and potions undisturbed and unquestioned.

And today he was attempting something a little different. Something he’d never been entirely successful at before, but curiosity and a feeling of restlessness impelled him to try again. That and the fact that the young woman seated near him had ruined his breakfast by overcooking his eggs.

She was unconscious now, which was just as well, since Terrence was finding her screams a bit tedious. Not that he minded inflicting pain and suffering on others, but this one had a particularly shrill voice that grated on his nerves. Even so, she had turned out better than most of the others. Her skin was red, dried and wrinkled as if she’d been left out in the sun too long. Years, too long. If he touched her, her flesh would peel off into his hand like the skin of an over-baked chicken. She’d cooked much better than her eggs had.

He was regarding his handiwork when Basil, his manservant, requested permission to enter. Basil was the only person whom Terrence allowed to enter his laboratory and leave in the same condition he arrived. He’d placed a magical barrier around his domain barring anyone else to enter without his permission. It was a useless formality, since no one else dared to even ask permission for fear of earning his or her lord’s displeasure. Rumors circulated that not all the rats Terrence’s cat took great pleasure in chasing and devouring began their short lives as rodents.

Terrence called his permission for Basil to enter. He was done with the girl, and Basil would see to her disposal.

Basil came down the steps and halted.

“She’s alive,” Terrence informed him, “but she won’t be for long. You’d best get a blanket or rug to carry her in, else you’ll have a mess on your hands.” He regarded the girl with a critical eye. “I’d say the spell was a success this time. Wasn’t precisely the effect I intended, but close enough.”

Basil’s nose wrinkled slightly, but he held his tongue.

Terrence turned back to his spell book. “That’s all. You may go.”

Basil cleared his throat. “I do have something to tell you that I believe will be of great interest to you, my lord,” he murmured deferentially.

“Go ahead, then. Say it.”

“I believe Mr. Westcroft may have found a new mate.”

“Really. And what makes you think I’d care to hear tale of some new trollop my bastard brother wishes to mount?”

“I have good reason to believe that the woman is none other than Felicity Cunningham’s sister, my lord.”

“Rumor mills can be notoriously inaccurate. Who’s your source?”

“I’ve been passing the occasional evening with one of Westcroft’s serving maids, and she overheard the girl talking to her cousin. She says the girl is using her cousin’s name instead of her own and that Westcroft isn’t even aware of the girl’s duplicity.”

Terrence rubbed his chin. “Now that is interesting. His dead wife’s sister is living under his roof, and my bastard brother has no idea. I may just have to pay my little brother an unexpected visit this week.”

Blurb:

Serena Cunningham did not trust Dominic Westcroft, since she was almost certain he had brutally slaughtered her sister, his first wife, in a fit of jealous rage, and she was out to prove he was the cold-blooded killer she believed him to be. All she needed was the opportunity.

Next up is a fun and scary excerpt from Darling Adams’, ‘Loose Morals’.

loose moralssmall

Sasha exited the Tucson Center for Developmentally Disabled at midnight, exhausted from her shift. She scanned the dark downtown streets for anyone she ought to avoid on her five block walk to her duplex. Downtown should lend comfort in numbers, but unless it was a weekend, the only people who roamed Congress Street after midnight were looking for trouble.

A man approached and while he didn’t look menacing, she held her keys pointed through her knuckles the way she’d learned in her self-defense class, then added her own self-devised protection—imagining a giant ball of light surrounding her.

The moment she pictured it, the man stopped in his tracks, staring as if he could see it. Her breath froze in her chest, heart pounding.

A slow grin spread across his face. “Is this for me?” he drawled in a faint British accent.

Vampire.

She didn’t know how she could tell, but the word had entered her mind clearly.

His grin broadened, showing sharp canines. “Yes,” he purred as if she’d spoken the word aloud. “And you are…what? A witchling?” He cocked his head to the side, “Priestess?” He extended his fingertips in the air, touching what would be the edge of her ball of light and suddenly she saw it, too—a shimmering white wall of protection that rippled and repelled his touch.

Even in the streetlights she could tell he was beautiful with rumpled blond hair and pork chop style side burns. Deep dimples crinkled now as he looked at her creation with apparent fascination. He turned the glittering gaze on her, locking eyes.

Energy shifted within her and her belly seemed to move to the left as her chest moved to the right. Her bubble of light vanished. Gasping, she tensed to run, and he smiled wider.

“Oh yes, do run, little witchling. I so love a good chase.”

She stumbled backward. “I-I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not a witch or a priestess. I’m nobody. I’m just a counselor at the School for the Disabled.”

He walked casually forward as she continued backing away. “Where’d you learn to do that?”

“What? The bubble?” She shook her head. “I don’t know—I just invented it, I guess.”

“Powerful,” he muttered, more to himself than to her. “Do you do other magick?”

She shook her head, looking around for anyone who might help her. “No, sir.” She didn’t know where the “sir” came from, but it amused him and he beamed another toothy grin, his fangs seeming to lengthen before her eyes.

It had been the eye contact that had burst the bubble. All she had to do was avoid looking directly at him. She threw another bubble up around her and took off running as fast as she could. She heard his laughter behind her, but did not hear footsteps in pursuit. Still, the hairs on her head stood up, warning her of something. She ran the five blocks to her duplex and jabbed her key into the lock. Once inside, she checked the latches on the doors and windows, trying to catch her breath.

A stake through the heart. That was how you killed a vampire. And garlic. She looked around wildly for any kind of wooden stick. There—the dowel in her little wall hanging. It might work. It was three quarter inches thick and 18 inches long. She brought it to the kitchen and began frantically carving the end into a crude point.

She almost screamed when she heard a knock on the door, but then her neighbor’s voice called out, “Hey, Sasha, you got any smokes?”

“No, Jane! I don’t smoke, remember?” she called back.

“Well, can I come in?” Jane asked.

Crap.

She went to the door, sharpened stake in hand, and opened it. Somehow, she was not at all surprised to see the vampire leaning in the door frame.

“Go back to your side,” he said softly to Jane, whose eyes were glassy and unfocused. She trotted obediently away, clearly mesmerized by the vampire.

Even as her brain processed it, her eyes slid to his and she became lost in the ice blue pools, her belly moving to the left as her chest moved to the right.

“Come in,” she heard herself say.

He grinned broadly and pushed past her into the apartment.

The moment their gaze broke, her wits returned and she launched herself at him, aiming for the middle of his upper back with the sharpened dowel.

He whirled and caught her wrist so quickly she didn’t see it happen, but the outrage on his features registered clearly, fangs elongating as he hissed. Wrestling the dowel from her, he snatched her up around the waist and carried her, kicking and squirming to her living room. She panicked, wishing she had eaten garlic or had some other defense against getting drained by a hungry leech. To her surprise, he plopped down on her sofa and pulled her ass-up over his lap. “That was extremely rude,” he informed her. “I expect a more gracious welcome when I come to call.”

Blurb

When Sasha Deschamps unwittingly attracts the attention of a strange man on her late night walk home from work, she winds up with a supernatural guest she can’t get rid of. The dominant immortal demands her complete submission and cooperation, refusing to free her until she has performed an act of magic, one which she does not know how to even begin. Charlie sees the power in Sasha and believes she has the ability to undo the curse placed on him by a jealous lover over one hundred years before. He also loves toying with the feisty witchling, doling out humiliating punishments while arousing a lust in her that leaves them both hungry for satisfaction.  Emotionally detached to the point of amorality, his motto has been “friendly with many, close to none”, but he finds himself falling for Sasha, believing he might be able to trust a woman again. When he discovers she is actually the reincarnated witch who cursed him, though, his world turns on end. Can he accept she has returned to his life to heal the rift between them? Or will he walk away from her again, as he did so many years ago?  Publishers Note: This book contains elements of BDSM including anal punishment, figging, spanking, bondage and erotic sex scenes.
